What is a Home Inspection?

A general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. The scope of work may be modified by the Client and Inspector prior to the inspection process.

I. The general home inspection is based on the observations made on the date of the inspection, and not a prediction of future conditions.

II. The general home inspection will not reveal every issue that exists or ever could exist, but only those material defects observed on the date of the inspection.

Can I follow the inspector?

Yes, we encourage our clients to walk with the inspector , this is not mandatory but does truly help you learn and understand more along the way.

Do I need a home inspection?

If you are selling or buying a home you will benefit from a home inspection. Even someone working in the housing industry will not have the training to identify defects the way a home inspector can.

If you have owned your home for sometime and are not sure how well it is performing, I can help identify areas that could use some improvement or maintenance to ensure your home lasts longer and performs to its potential.
